Improving our environmental footprint

Our climate strategy aims to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions both by increasing the proportion of renewable energy and by encouraging our employees to use less carbon-intensive transport.

Reducing our environmental footprint will also involve preserving and managing resources and waste.

Issue 1

Responsible environmental governance

Alliance Étiquettes’ commitment to improving its environmental impact through the development of its internal structure is a fundamental pillar of its CSR approach.

To this end, the company is working to strengthen dialogue with its internal and external stakeholders, with the aim of improving the measurement of its dual “climate and biodiversity” footprint. To this end, a climate steering committee has been set up to ensure that Alliance Étiquettes’ approach to climate issues is the right one.

At the same time, the company is committed to working with suppliers who share its values, setting up regular questionnaires to ensure their commitment to responsible practices.

Defining a problem as well as possible is necessary to ensure that it is resolved as effectively as possible. With this in mind, we are equipping ourselves with a number of tools to better define our climate footprint. These include internalising our carbon footprint, analysing our biodiversity footprint, etc.

Enjeu 2

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Alliance Étiquettes’ commitment to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions is a major imperative.

To reduce our emissions, we have defined, with all our sites, reduction methods based on the recommendations of our Bilan Carbone. Our reduction targets are in line with the Paris Agreements, at around 5% per year.

We are also increasing the proportion of renewable energy in our consumption by installing solar panels at our sites. Our aim is to become increasingly carbon neutral. At the same time, we are sourcing all our electricity from renewable energy sources.

Finally, Alliance Étiquettes places its employees at the heart of this approach, actively involving them in its environmental vision. By working on the issue of mobility and raising its teams’ awareness of environmental issues, the company aims to have a positive impact on their professional and personal lives.

Enjeu 3

Preservation and management of resources and waste

As resources and waste have long been an issue for us, we have set ourselves the objective of continuing to reduce our water and energy consumption.

To achieve this, we will put in place precise monitoring tools to define the appropriate priorities, then develop targeted methods to reduce consumption. Finally, we will structure the whole process for rigorous annual monitoring.

In addition, we are working to promote the recyclability of our waste on our sites and at our customers’ sites by supporting the local economy. Our ambition is to become an environmental benchmark for our stakeholders.

Finally, aware of the climate issues linked to tin, we are committed to continuing to buy only 100% recycled tin and to continuing to recycle 100% of our tin scrap.

Issue 4

Protecting and preserving biodiversity

It is essential to commit to the protection and preservation of biodiversity at all levels.

For example, we strive to promote efficiency and reduce the pollution associated with our production processes. With the support of Imprim’Vert, we will continue our efforts to ensure a neutral impact on biodiversity.

We also aim to have a positive impact by developing a specific action plan for each of our sites, linked to local biodiversity issues. We will then carefully assess the impact on site to ensure a favourable balance.

Issue 5

Developing an ecosystem of short-distance customers

We firmly believe that developing a close relationship with our customers is beneficial both environmentally and socially, encouraging local interaction and strengthening our relationships.

Adopting a short circuit model allows us to reduce transport distances, reducing our carbon footprint and increasing transparency for our customers.

What’s more, by working with local partners, we make it easier to manage the end-of-life of products through recycling or reuse systems, which supports the local economy and reduces waste. This contributes not only to environmental protection but also to the vitality of local communities, encouraging more responsible consumption.

Priority objectives

Reduce our GHG emissions on scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 5% per year

Increase the proportion of renewable energy in our energy consumption

Reduce our water and energy consumption

Promote the recyclability of our waste at our sites and at our customers’ sites

Protect and promote the biodiversity of ecosystems at our sites
